Thoughts from a Thought Leader
My new two new favorite books: The Digital Doctor: Hope, Hype and Harm at the Dawn of Medicine’s Computer Age, by Robert Wachter, MD, and The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right by Atul Gawande, MD. Both books speak to quality and safety in healthcare; they also validate my suspicions about current telephone triage safety. Health information technology is a permanent system component and integral to our work.
