Continuing education Course Description: An update for clinicians and managers to avoid common errors still evident in telephone triage. Case studies illustrate legal principles such as delay and denial of care, the role of non-clinical staff and evidence-based risk management tools.
Course reading material is a slide show with a one-hour audio presentation by Ms. Wheeler. The course materials will be available to participants after ordering the course.

Audience: Clinicians (novice or expert level) or managers of clinical call centers. Please note: We have included a complimentary list of 10 policy titles, for clinicians and managers to develop safe standards for high-risk situations, that are more likely to lead to risky conditions in clinical call centers.
Methodology: Participants will watch a slide show, listen to the lecture by Ms. Wheeler and answer 20 multiple-choice questions.
