TELEPHONE TRIAGE RISK MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION

Due to the nature of the work, telephone triage carries above average risks. As a relatively new and developing subspecialty, staff needs to know the legal pitfalls before they begin taking calls. Ms. Wheeler will evaluate organizational risk and develop recommendations or a risk management plan.

TELEPHONE TRIAGE LEGAL NURSE CONSULTING

Sheila Wheeler provides legal nurse consulting services, in the subspecialty of telephone triage for both the plaintiff and the defense. Ms. Wheeler has served as an expert in telephone triage nursing on approximately 20 cases since 1995. She currently practices telephone triage in a call center in San Francisco, California. Ms. Wheeler’s 35+ years experience includes clinical practice in critical care, emergency department and telephone triage. Ms. Wheeler pioneered the field of telephone triage as an educator, researcher and consultant for close to 25 years.
